• paper is better than newsprint, but with good print quality;
• glue;
• decorative elements that are useful when decorating the product (optional).

Consider the recommendations that help create a hat from any leaf:

1. Prepare a sheet of paper. Depending on the size of the head circumference and the future headgear, you can choose the size of the sheet, both larger and smaller. For training, you can use the usual A4 sheet, then to make a beautiful hat from the newspaper.
2. On the long side, fold the leaf in half.
3. After this, it is necessary to fold the material for manufacturing halfway along the long side once more, and then straighten it. As a result, a clear fold line should be visible.

3. The lower part of the magazine (a rectangular strip) will remain free. Bend its upper part up so that it does not find on the triangle, but goes butt with it.
4. After that, fold the resulting strip up again - now it will already be on the triangle.
5. Turn the product over to the other side.
6. At the bottom, the second half of the rectangular strip remained untouched. Two small triangles are visible on the sides of it - bend them towards you.
7. Now turn to the middle edge of the product on the right and left sides.
8. Bend the bottom rectangular strip so that it goes butt-to-side with the sides of the cap bent in the previous step.
9. Make small bends of the lower strip on the sides, forming the peak of the cap.
10. Fill them under the envelope formed on the product.
11. Turn the origami with the bottom side toward you.
12. Fold the top of the craft down and tuck it under the “lapel”.
13. Smooth again and gently open the cap. The edges of the caps on the left and right stick out, and therefore it is better to bend them and fill them under the “lapel”.
