Confetti painting

In order to paint wine glasses in this technique, you will need the following:

1. Glass goblets.
2. Acrylic paints (you can also use a special contour for painting, a marker for glass or ordinary nail polish).
3. Alcohol or nail polish remover (for degreasing).
4. Cotton pads and cotton buds.
5. A small round brush or pencil with an eraser on the end.

The sequence of actions in spot painting is as follows:

• Wash the glasses thoroughly and degrease their surfaces with nail polish remover or alcohol.
• Squeeze out a small amount of paint on some work surface (palette, disposable plate or just a piece of film).
• Turn the glass over, use a brush or a round eraser to carefully apply colored circles to the surface of the glass, making sure that approximately the same interval remains between the circles. You can make them the same or start from larger to smaller, or you can choose any other pattern to your personal taste using the “confetti” technique.

Important! Just in case, it is better not to apply paint to the edges of the glass if you intend to use them for their intended purpose.

• It remains to wait for complete drying. If necessary, put a glass in the oven so that the paint freezes.

Important! If you apply patterns with nail polish, then it should also dry quickly, but such a pattern can be short-lived. Therefore, it is better to use professional paints for souvenirs or wedding glasses.

Wine glasses with peas will look great not only at a wedding, but also at a friendly party: everything will depend on the size and color of the “confetti”. Using this technique, you can not only dot in a chaotic manner, but also draw some beautiful patterns on the glass.

Flower painting

For the holidays celebrated in the summer season, you can paint your own glasses in flower technique.

You will need to stock up on the following:

1. Glass wine glasses.
2. Acrylic paints.
3. Alcohol or nail polish remover (for degreasing).
4. Cotton pads and cotton buds.
5. Disposable plate or palette.
6. Brushes.

The sequence of painting in floral technique is as follows:

• Wash and dry glasses thoroughly. Degrease the surface with nail polish remover or alcohol.
• On a plastic plate or palette, mix the colors.
• Turn the wineglass upside down and start painting on glass. First draw the yellow stamens as a set of small sized dots. Wait for the paint to dry and continue to the next step.
• In broad strokes, draw the petals. If you wish, after the first layer has dried, you can apply another one, as well as paint with a thin brush the details with another paint - dark edges, veins.

Important! The basis is better to take some real flower and try to portray it on a glass.

• Draw a green stem on the stem of the glass and the flower bed on the bottom of the bowl.
• Wait for it to dry completely.

Stencil Painting

Important! Experienced craftswomen can try painting with stained glass paints. Unlike ordinary acrylic, they require the obligatory use of the contour and great accuracy during application. The process of mixing colors in the palette of these colors may seem rather complicated for beginners, but the result will be worth the effort, because the translucent pattern will look very impressive.
